Tablets have made the fastest growing consumers. In 2009, total tablet sale was 90,000 according to Consumer Electronics Association. But it goes upto 10.3 million in 2010 with the introduction of iPad.
Apple sold about 300,000 iPad in 24 hours and within 3 months it makes about $2 billion. It costs about $499.
iPad-2 is 33% thinner and 15 % lighter than the previous one with more than 0.35 million apps. It has a rear and front camera for video conferencing and speedy processor. It is available in two colours. According to ChangWave Research, 80% of peoples, who want to buy a tablet, want to buy iPad-2. iPad-2 is a first time item for 70% of purchasers. It costs about $499-$899.
