(Haunting) Chillingham Castle, England

There have been several accounts of the mysterious moaning and whimpering of a boy known as "Blue Boy" at the Chillingham Castle in Northumberland. It is believed he may have been locked behind a wall where his bones and scraps of blue clothing were found. Other ghostly sounds reported have included the rustling of a dress along the stairs, which is said to be Lady Mary Berkley searching for her husband who ran away with her sister, as well as a woman in the pantry and voices in the chapel.

Langham Hotel, London - Haunted hotels

London’s Langham Hotel opened in 1865 and has been visited by several literary greats, including Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde and Arthur Conan Doyle.

It has also reportedly been frequented by a number of ghosts. The most common sighting is of a man in Victorian evening wear in Room 333, who apparently appears only during October. Another guest claimed to have seen the figure of a man in military attire standing by the window on the fourth floor, which is said to be the ghost of a German Prince who jumped out of a window before the start of the First World War. It is also believed that Napoleon III, another former guest, haunts the basement of the hotel.

Tulloch Castle Hotel, Scotland - Haunted hotel

A guest in Room Eight of this 12th century hotel in Dingwall claimed he woke up during the night, unable to breath, and felt as if he were being choked. The room reportedly felt ice cold and apparently the ghosts of two girls were sitting on his chest in an attempt to suffocate him. A former maid as well as a former owner of the castle have also been spottted pacing the Pink Room and Great Hall of the hotel. Guests have also complained of rattling door handles and other peculiar noises throughout the night. The ghost of a woman who fell and died on the spiral staircase is also said to roam the halls.
