Apple is planning to go green for Reno, Nevada data center

Apple Inc. is reportedly building 18-20 megawatt solar farm for its Reno, Nevada data center making it one of the greener technological centers in the world, according to GigaOm. This solar farm would cover an area of 137 acre.
According to GigaOm, the company will use a different type of technology than the Apple's two arrays in North Carolina. The company is including mirrors in the technology that would increase the concentration of sun’s rays by up to seven times thereby increasing the amount of energy generation. Moreover, the company will also provide energy to the local grid.
SunPower, Solar energy solution providing company will work on the array's engineering and construction but until the completion of these farms Apple will utilize geothermal energy generated by local plants.
