Possible presence of water on Mars

Researchers have recently pointed out that the presence of zinc and gypsum veins are positive signs that the environment of Mars could be habitable.

They have reached to this point after studying the results sent by Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity.

“The rover discovered evidence for low temperature liquid water and environments that would be conducive for life,” said Scott M. McLennan, Professor of Geochemistry at Stony Brook University and one of the members of the team of the research. He said that while on Earth such evidences are sufficient to prove that there could be some form of life.
