Facebook may get €100,000 fine in Ireland

Austrian law student suits 22 complaints against Facebook, which may result in auditing Facebook by Irish data protection commissioner.
Facebook may face outcomes in the form of EU100K charges as a result of retaining data deleted by users.

Austrian law student registers suit against Facebook after looking at his1200 pages of personal record, many of which were deleted by him.
Max Schrems, 24, attended a lecture delivered by Facebook executive and decided to ask Facebook for a copy of his data in June. He received a CD and was shocked on looking at the messages and information, which he already deleted from his profile since he joined Facebook in three years.
Schrems said,
I discovered Facebook had kept highly personal messages I had written and then deleted, which, were they to become public, could be highly damaging to my reputation.
